The apartment for rent near the Moscow Central Park of Culture and Leisure.

The project was made at the height of the pandemic when people felt an urgent need for a change of impressions and inner peace. To do this, I created the atmosphere of a tropical hotel, in which a person rests soul and mind. Materials and textures take us to an exotic island and at the same time create a wow effect to attract potential tenants.

Once this house that was built in 1890 had large apartments, but later they were divided, and I had to work with a rather complex layout. I managed to place 8 functional zones on an area of 45 sq. m. without sacrificing comfort. There is a full-fledged entrance hall, a kitchen with necessary appliances, a living room, a workplace, a bedroom and two bathrooms in the apartment. Even the so-called ‘technical’ closet for detergents, spare bed linen and consumables fit into it.

The reed ceiling became the main feature of the project, behind which the old shingle is hidden. Such bold decisions were implemented thanks to the trust and gut feelings of the customer. When she saw the concept, she immediately agreed on it.

The apartment was rebuilt almost anew as the old floors were rotten through, and we assembled all the furniture ourselves. The most difficult thing was to create such a textured kitchen, when contractors offered ready-made decisions, and I saw it differently. As a result, we made it on our own, using one of my favorite materials – micro-concrete. We managed to facilitate the construction of a concrete sink in the bathroom in the same way.
