Project description from design firms T + T Architects
A flagship client office of Aeroflot airline has opened in Moscow on 1-ya Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street. The multifunctional business space, located in the heart of the metropolis, is designed to take the services of the country’s largest air carrier to a fundamentally new level. The project was developed by the architectural bureau T + T Architects.
The main goal of the project is to create a qualitatively new experience of communication between clients and the company and the brand. Therefore, even the location of the office is quite symbolic, since the facility is located on the direct route to the airline’s base airport – Sheremetyevo. The two-story space with an area of 1.27 thousand square meters is located in a building in the historical center of the capital at the address: 1-ya Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, Bldg. 2A.

A bright image of the new space can be read from Tverskoy Boulevard and Mayakovsky Square. Warm, calming shades of the interiors, thoughtful lighting design, referring to the image of air routes and spectacular multimedia screens are visible in the window portals already on the approach to the office doors, which smoothly sets the clients to the right mood. The spectacular contrast of the graphite facade of the building and the shades of the sunset sky, penetrating the interiors, creates a harmonious image of the project.
The office is divided into two parts, each of which is located on a separate floor. The lower level with an area of 640 sq. m includes a spacious lobby, waiting and customer service areas, a cozy cafe with a panoramic view of Oruzheiny Lane, a themed children’s corner, as well as service and technical rooms.

Digital media surfaces are also installed here, where you can get acquainted with the company’s route network, the services and products offered, as well as learn interesting facts from the history of Aeroflot. This part of the office is characterized by open layouts, intuitive navigation, an abundance of natural light and permeability. Such solutions not only emphasize and enhance the concept of the project, but also create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for guests.
The area of the business space on the second floor is 585 sq. m and its main part is occupied by waiting areas, meeting rooms for servicing clients of the elite levels of the Aeroflot Bonus Gold and Platinum program. Also, on the second floor there is a compact back-office of the company for 14 people with a kitchen and other utility rooms for comfortable work of employees. Special attention should be paid to the client waiting areas of increased comfort, equipped with designer soft groups, a coffee point, restrooms and a cloakroom.

The architectural concept of the project is based on the technological nature of the processes and the creation of an atmosphere of maximum comfort in the service areas due to interior details. The design code of the office consists of three layers of perception: wow-effect, empathy of the environment, subtle references to the past, present and future of Aeroflot airline.
The desire to convey the philosophy of the brand, the theme of flights and combine this with comfort for guests is read in all the details of the interior. Thus, the brand’s signature palette is presented in the form of soft, calming gradients that create the image of the evening sky. A small cafe with a panoramic view of old Moscow evokes associations with an airport waiting area, and the color schemes echo other locations in the office.

A children’s corner for the youngest guests is stylized to resemble various areas of the airport terminal. It contains a table in the form of a baggage belt with an interactive console that looks like a suitcase with a screen for drawing. In front of the display, reminiscent of a “smartphone”, children can take pictures against the backdrop of landmarks from different cities of the Aeroflot route network. A comfortable sofa is also made in the form of a looped baggage belt.
Client meeting rooms on the second floor are located along the perimeter of the facade glazing and are made in the form of cubes oriented at different angles. Each of them is highlighted with LED lighting along the lower contour, which gives the volumes a hovering effect.
The project uses a large number of interior and technical know-how that make the work of employees easier. Thus, together with Aeroflot, architects have developed a new model of smart tables with built-in printers, telephones, cash register equipment and wireless chargers. Living plants are placed in the design of the waiting area sofas and chargers are built in. Bright digital displays are installed directly in the waiting area shelves and wall panels, and minimalist electronic queue boards refer to futuristic images.
Thematic decor and navigation system not only enhances immersion in the romantic atmosphere of aeronautics, but also allows easy orientation in the office space. Meeting rooms in the Gold and Platinum zones are named after Russian cities from the air carrier’s route network.
