Project description from design firms ZOOCO ESTUDIO
A New Image for Regma, Santander
Regma, the iconic Cantabrian ice cream brand founded in 1933, entrusted us with the design of their new premises on Calle Burgos in Santander. This space aims to complement the brand’s ongoing graphic and aesthetic transformation with a fresh visual identity.
Our goal was to translate Regma’s core values into the architectural language of the space in a tangible yet understated manner—eschewing literal or obvious references.
Concept and Identity
Regma is a familiar name to us, a longstanding reference in northern Spain. The brand emphasised their two key values: the natural quality of their ingredients and their distinctive, unpretentious use of colour.
These attributes, combined with a geometric abstraction inspired by the world of ice cream, form the conceptual backbone of our design.
To bring this vision to life, we developed the interior around a key geometric element: the rotated square, or diamond shape. This motif is applied consistently across ceilings, floors and the façade, crafting a unique visual identity throughout the space.

Materiality and Textural Palette
The material palette draws inspiration from the colours and textures of Regma’s most emblematic ice cream flavours, reinterpreted through noble, natural materials such as travertine marble, oak wood and clay-based paint.
To this triad, we added stainless steel—an essential material in cold storage—maintaining a direct connection to traditional ice cream craftsmanship.
The result is a space that immerses the customer in Regma’s universe in an abstract and subliminal way. Through colour, texture and geometry inspired by the product and the brand’s heritage, we deliver a sensorial experience that reinforces Regma’s identity and its ongoing evolution.
