Description from architect CARTELLE DESIGN :
Small moody apartment in Moscow for a young women who likes reading and chilling. So it was necessary to provide shelves for books and recreation area. Flat’s owner doesn`t fond of cooking, and the kitchen should be as compact as possible.
Minimalist interior was supplemented with a loft details. High ceilings, beams on the ceiling and panoramic window gave a special mood of space. It was decided to use a minimum of partitions. A large loft window was cut on the wall between rooms to let in light and visually connect two spaces.
There are several scenarios for lighting in the room. Turning track and spotlights are used as basic lighting. The kitchen and bedroom areas are decorated with minimalistic metal chandeliers. The recreation area on the windowsill has a sconce for reading.
A minimum of decor is used in space. There are only a few black and white posters and decorative pillows on the windowsill. The main element of decor is a poster with a panda, which adds a space of charm and informality.
