Concept
For this project, I set out to create an interior defined by soft, sculptural forms. Instead of sharp corners and rigid geometry, the space is shaped through rounded edges, radiused transitions, and monolithic volumes that create a calm, flowing atmosphere.
From the very beginning, I approached the interior as a unified architectural composition rather than a collection of individual objects. Floor-to-ceiling built-in furniture, concealed doors, recessed niches, and custom millwork were all designed from my original sketches and fabricated specifically for the project. As a result, the furniture becomes an integral part of the architecture, reinforcing a sense of continuity and spatial harmony.
To establish rhythm and proportion, I introduced a vertical language through slatted wall panels, fluted ceramic tiles, and full-height drapery, balanced by low-profile furniture with soft, rounded silhouettes. This dialogue between verticality and curvature creates a refined yet welcoming environment.
The material palette is intentionally restrained and inspired by nature. Warm wood veneers are paired with sage-olive walls and ceilings, graphite-gray textiles, and subtle accents of terracotta and deep bottle green. Carefully layered warm lighting—with linear fixtures and precise accent illumination—highlights the curved architectural forms while creating a calm atmosphere free from visual clutter.
Materials were selected not only for their aesthetic qualities but also for their durability and tactile richness. Open-pore oak and walnut veneers, matte finishes in nuanced earthy tones, and natural stone with delicate veining contribute to a timeless interior that feels both sophisticated and comfortable.
Together, these design decisions create a cohesive living environment with a quiet rhythm, rich tactile qualities, and a sense of warmth that supports everyday life.
