In this Moscow apartment of over 300 m², the designers from Special Style created an interior where classic and contemporary elements coexist in perfect balance. Light, textures, and architectural proportions form an atmosphere of quietness and sophistication.
The project united two apartments with views to three sides, opening a panorama of the Moscow River. The clients wanted a space that would be both expressive and calm, traditional or even classical, yet modern at the same time.
From this wish grew the concept that became the foundation of the apartment’s design — a subtle dialogue between tradition and modernity, between noble and innovative materials, between timeless forms and contemporary details.
Classic paneled doors, marble in the bathrooms, molded décor, and parquet panels create the framework on which the classical structure is built. Glossy and matte surfaces, wood, velvet, silk, leather, and stone are combined in a restrained palette to highlight art accents and contemporary furniture from leading European brands — Baxter, Minotti, Moroso, Porada, Gallotti & Radice, Giorgetti, Lottocento, Flou, and Vibia — made of modern synthetic materials. A sliding partition upholstered in leather separates the living area from the private zone and, when closed, becomes a sculptural element. Bright color accents — a blue armchair, a gray-blue floor lamp, columns clad in glass with a soft color gradient — bring rhythm and liveliness to the neutral background. All these elements together created a refined and tranquil interior beyond time.
