Project description from design firms Raimer Bureau
Introduction
This project took us four years to complete, a time in which we went from the first meeting to the moment the owners moved in.
The project is located in a three-storey house in the center of Vladimir, with a total area of 220 sqm, triple orientation and a long balcony offering spectacular views of the city’s cathedrals and churches.
The clients came to us with a specific request: seeking to make the transition to a new life a smooth and relaxing one. Inspired by the desire to create a new space that would be warm, cozy and safe, they asked : “Please make this feel like home”. This request became the foundation of our design vision.
The interior design became more than just a decoration of the space; it became a reflection of the lifestyle and aesthetic preferences of the residents. The project aims to create a quiet sanctuary, isolated from the outside world, where the residents can feel a sense of belonging and inner peace.

Spatial layout and design details
Purchasing a ready-made house, the clients discovered that the plot of land has views of the city. At the same time they received a lot of small rooms, typical for typical solutions. In order to create free spaces, they faced reconstruction: they removed and extended the interior walls, expanded the kitchen with living room and living areas, installed glass doors and cut full-height doorways corresponding to the scale of the windows.
The layout of the home combines practicality and aesthetics. Upon entering the home, there is an immediate sense of comfort due to the high ceilings that flow seamlessly from the hallway to the living room. The use of shared travertine floors makes the space airy and light. This approach reflects a lifestyle where openness and freedom of movement are important to create a comfortable environment.

Materials
Inspiration found us easily. We drew ideas from the past to create a space filled with warm woods and tactile textures that elegantly combine elements of classic and modern.
The choice of materials is emphasized by the warm textures of natural elements and pays homage to tradition. Generous use of stone combined with wooden furniture, brass, and soft leather paired with cotton and linen.
The color palette was chosen to eschew bright colors. White walls serve as a backdrop for the clients’ art collection. Special attention has been paid to details that open up the space and reflect the owners’ tastes.

Selection of furniture and décor
The furniture is a mix of new pieces and those already owned by the client. “We like to mix iconic design with new pieces and vintage.” We liked a dining table that belonged to the clients, we convinced them to keep it in the house.
The author’s furniture is reflected in the finely detailed joinery used in the living room, bedrooms and study. It is characterized by clean, flowing lines, and the texture of the wood harmoniously complements the overall style of the interior. Thanks to the combination of complex natural materials and original forms, it is possible to create something truly special. Each element is part of a single composition with its own ideas and meanings.

Makeup room
Designing this room was a real challenge. Due to the work of unprofessional contractors, this area had to be redesigned four times. Each stage of the delivery revealed inconsistencies: the veneer tones did not match, the joints were sloppy and the geometry was questionable.
The complexity of the design was the use of a double frame of travertine and veneer, which required special attention and care in installation. Thanks to the patience of the clients, we were able to achieve the desired result. The desire to perfect the project was the main factor in our success.

Living room
As soon as you enter the living room, the attention is drawn to the clever design of the end wall with glass fireplace, adding an atmosphere of coziness and art. A highlight was the design of the TV wall in the center of the room, creating a central composition.
Children’s room
A hidden door built into the walls of the children’s room evokes associations with a secret passage that invites into a mysterious world.
Realizing that the customers’ daughter loves books, they created a cozy work area inside the bay window, leaving a sunny place for reading. The warm white bedroom, complete with adjustable drapes and cartoon graphics on the walls, fills the room with an atmosphere of carefree children’s laughter.
The design of this room emphasizes attention to detail and warmth, thanks to the tropical-themed panels on the wall. These elements add elegance to the space and create a harmony that feels good. The wooden accents in the furniture give the room a dynamic feel, while the wall panels enhance the sensuality, creating a place for play and creativity.

Bedroom
Zen art in the wall panels, with thin branches and sparse leaves, expresses a sense of space through the connection of fashion and Eastern philosophy. The bedroom was divided into two zones, isolating the dressing area behind the headboard, while maintaining a common space for relaxation and privacy.
Conclusion
The interior design became more than just the design of the space; it became a reflection of the residents’ lifestyle and aesthetic preferences. The project is aimed at creating a quiet sanctuary, isolated from the outside world, where the residents can feel a sense of belonging and inner peace.
