The New Drinkit Coffee Flagship, Designed by the Brand’s Own Team
At Drinkit, the architects champion a new approach to chain café interiors. Rather than rolling out standardized designs, they focus on scaling memorable guest experiences.
Core Design Principles
Every Drinkit café is treated as a standalone project, specially crafted by the architectural team. At the heart of the design philosophy is a balance between standardized elements and unique spatial solutions created in deliberate contrast to the surrounding environment. Signature benches, numerous digital interfaces, and steel surfaces provide a consistent thread that makes the chain instantly recognizable. Yet each location receives its own concept, tailored to the local context. That’s why every new project becomes an experiment in itself.

“We use localization as a tool: if a café is in a sterile mall, we make it warm and homey. If it’s in a gray suburban area, we add color. The goal is to create contrast with the usual surroundings. A guest should feel like they’ve entered a different world,”
— Nikita Tugarin, Head of Design at Drinkit.
Flagship Café
The concept behind this interior blends the vibe of an alchemist’s lab with the energy of live theater. The open stainless-steel bar takes center stage, turning every drink preparation into a performance guests can truly feel part of.
Inside, a huge glowing installation catches the eye from afar, pulling guests in and turning a simple coffee stop into something special. Digital tools are woven into the experience from the start: you order through the app or a kiosk, and your coffee is ready before you know it.
The entire interior is built around a contrast of materials: cool, reflective stainless steel set against a warm, textured orange floor and light plywood furniture.
For this flagship project, a custom rail was designed above the bar to display miniature models of other Drinkit locations. It’s a storytelling element that showcases both the brand’s journey and the architects’ design philosophy.
Lighting played a special role in this project. High color-rendering fixtures ensure every hue appears in its full richness. This brings out the vibrant palettes of the café’s signature drinks — and gives guests’ selfies a naturally beautiful skin tone.
