Project description from design firms Zrobim Studio
This apartment is located in a newly developed area of Minsk. Its owners — a young IT couple and their cat Frosya — lead structured, dynamic lives and enjoy a wide range of hobbies. The main design task was to create a space where each member of the household could find their own comfortable place.
The interior is based on the principles of warm minimalism, expressed through soft, neutral tones in the wall finishes, flooring, and furniture. To balance the composition and emphasize the dining area, the team selected graphic Normann Copenhagen chairs paired with a custom-made table by Moonlight Room.
The central element of the living room is a custom-designed sofa. While such island configurations are usually found in more spacious layouts, here the sofa plays multiple roles: it offers additional seating for the dining area, provides a comfortable TV-viewing setup for several people, and allows for face-to-face conversation from different sides.
A distinctive feature of this apartment is a Storage-Apartment designed for the cat. It has a three-sided orientation: the first side, facing the hallway, functions as a technical storage unit; the central section contains a hidden staircase with an opening, leading to an elevated cat bed that doubles as a vantage point; the third side, facing the bathrooms, conceals the litter box, with a discreet entry cut-out.
The thoughtful balance between custom pieces and selected brand items creates a calm, cozy atmosphere with subtle, expressive accents. Every element serves a clear purpose — there are no superfluous details.
This interior reflects the results of a collaborative and detail-oriented process between the design team and the clients — perfectionists attentive to every nuance, yet open to creative solutions
