Project description from design firms Right Angle Studio
Situated within Singapore’s core central district, this luxury residence is intricately tailored to the lifestyles of a young family. With the plan opened across its longest axis, the design intent allows both the clients and their guests to appreciate the breadth of the space in full.
Upon entry via a private lift, users are welcomed with a view of a petite tree located along the balcony. The perspective then opens up to an unobstructed impression of its generous living and dining configuration. Here, an opulent mix of surfaces and materials coincide, ranging from navona travertine to grigio stardust marble, utilised across built components and liberal furnishings. The organic characteristics of these pieces are intentionally curated to soften the orderly lines observed within the space.
A tunnelled perception, achieved through the wooden portals anchored on both ends, draws the attention to a calming plant feature positioned at its deepest end. Approaching the inner quarters, the spatial mood transits from the open serenity into an intimate indulgence, illuminated by soft ambient lighting. Bespoke, fluted screens isolate the home office, which doubles as a display gallery to exhibit the homeowner’s collection of limited edition glass bottles and designed objects.
Symbolising the notion of quiet luxury in today’s overwhelming urban conditions, the project’s ambition is to introduce a seamless interior vocabulary, formed with considered interiors and composed mental well-being.
