Project description from design firms
Every project begins with a search for what makes a space unique. In this apartment, that defining element is natural light and panoramic views of the city and mountains from the 16th floor. The designers observed how sunlight moved through the rooms at different times of day to determine which areas should become the focal points of the interior.
This is how the sofa, window seat, island table, and balcony armchair found their places. Here, light became not merely a functional element, but an integral part of the architecture and the overall philosophy of the space. The main challenge was to create a functional apartment for both living and working, while reflecting the owner’s lifestyle and interests, including car restoration and his appreciation of retro aesthetics.

At the same time, the designers focused on providing ample storage without making the interior feel cluttered. The apartment’s corner location, abundance of windows, and striking views became key factors in developing the new layout. The bedroom and balcony were ultimately kept separate, with the balcony transformed into a compact home office that can be adapted to the owner’s future needs.
The entrance to the bathroom was also relocated, its area significantly increased, and an additional wardrobe was added on the bedroom side, resulting in a flexible space with several distinct areas for different ways of living.
