Project description from design firms SINITSA bureau
In early 2025, SINITSA bureau completed a striking retail space for YOU WANNA, a dynamic Russian fashion brand known for its fusion of relaxed citywear and bold, provocative pieces. The 58 sq.m pop-up corner, located on the 4th floor of Tsvetnoy Department Store in Moscow, was designed to go beyond conventional retail — becoming an architectural expression of the brand’s identity.
The concept responds to YOU WANNA’s confident visual language and strong emotional appeal to modern women who value both individuality and comfort. The design brief required a space that would be immediately eye-catching, emotionally engaging, and compliant with numerous technical restrictions within the department store — including a no-floor-mounting policy, strict fire safety requirements, and open visibility from all sides.
Rather than a conventional “corner,” the SINITSA team proposed a circular layout, subverting expectations with a shape rarely used in retail environments. The circle, a symbol of completeness and flow, reinforces the brand’s immersive, sensuous aesthetic while inviting intuitive, continuous movement through the space.
At the center of the design is a semi-circular velvet sofa, surrounded by sculptural columns upholstered in complex-toned velour. These columns are linked by minimalist rails, creating a rhythmic structure that merges display with spatial articulation. An open bar installation, designed as a freestanding shelving element, adds an element of hospitality and reflects the brand’s request to create a relaxed, experiential atmosphere.

All display furniture was custom-designed and fabricated using veneered MDF and brushed stainless steel. A muted carpeted floor adds warmth and acoustic comfort. The most technically complex challenge — achieving perfect curvature in both structure and detailing — was met through multiple design iterations to meet tight deadlines and budgetary limits.
The resulting space is tactile, sculptural, and emotionally charged — a retail environment that feels less like a store and more like an atmosphere. It’s an interior charged with femininity, where YOU WANNA’s pieces unfold naturally in a setting that amplifies their sensuality, edge, and presence.
